Triple-Accredited Business Schools in the UK
If you are comparing UK business schools for an MBA or a specialist master’s, look for three names on their accreditation pages: AACSB, AMBA and EQUIS. A school holding all three is described as triple accredited, or as holding the Triple Crown.
This guide brings together 28 UK business schools whose triple-accredited status was checked using official university and accreditation sources. It also explains how to use accreditation alongside course content, entry requirements, fees and career support when choosing where to apply.

What Does Triple Accreditation Mean?
According to the Association of MBAs’ explanation of Triple Crown accreditation, a school must hold accreditation from all three organisations simultaneously:
Accreditation | Organisation | What applicants should understand |
AACSB | Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business | Evaluates business education against standards covering areas such as strategy, teaching, learner success and research. |
AMBA | Association of MBAs | Focuses on MBA programmes and certain other postgraduate management qualifications. Check the school’s accreditation page for the relevant programme scope. |
EQUIS | EFMD Quality Improvement System | Reviews the business school as an institution, including its programmes, internationalisation, research and engagement with business. |
The accreditors use different assessment frameworks. Holding all three means the school has satisfied the requirements of each, rather than simply collecting three memberships or displaying three partner logos.
EFMD’s EQUIS guidance describes accreditation as a comprehensive school-level quality review. Its programme-level accreditation and membership schemes are separate: EFMD membership alone does not establish EQUIS accreditation.

Recent Accreditation Developments
Queen’s University Belfast: Queen’s Business School announced its Triple Crown status in September 2025 after receiving AACSB accreditation alongside its existing AMBA and EQUIS accreditations. See the official university announcement.
Nottingham Trent University: Nottingham Business School completed its Triple Crown with AMBA accreditation in 2024. Its current accreditation page confirms all three accreditations. It is a separate institution from the University of Nottingham, whose business school is also included above.
University of Warwick: Warwick Business School announced a further five years of EQUIS accreditation on 23 October 2026, confirming that it retains AACSB, AMBA and EQUIS recognition. Read Warwick’s official update.
These examples show why the date of an accreditation list matters: a school may achieve a new award or renew an existing one after an older guide was published.
Does Every Course at the University Hold All Three Accreditations?
No. Check the business school and the specific programme. Triple accreditation is a description of the school’s combined accreditation status, with the scope of each award determined by the accreditor.
AACSB’s guidance for prospective MBA students distinguishes school-wide business accreditation from AMBA’s programme-focused assessment. AMBA also accredits certain postgraduate management qualifications, as its own Triple Crown guidance explains.
For example, King’s Business School’s accreditation page identifies its AMBA-accredited MSc International Management and Executive MBA. Applicants should read that scope instead of assuming that every degree offered anywhere within King’s College London is individually accredited by AMBA.
This also matters for interdisciplinary courses. A programme combining computing, analytics and business may be delivered by a different school or jointly across departments. Confirm the delivering school and relevant accreditations on the course page.
Triple Accreditation and Russell Group Membership: What Is the Difference?
Triple accreditation concerns business education and the assessment frameworks of AACSB, AMBA and EQUIS. Russell Group membership identifies membership of a group of UK research-intensive universities. The two labels describe different things.
A school can hold Triple Crown accreditation without its university being a Russell Group member. Conversely, Russell Group membership alone does not establish that a business school holds all three accreditations. Check the Russell Group’s official university list and the business school’s accreditation page separately.
For an applicant, this means neither label should replace a review of the actual course, entry criteria and total cost.
How Indian Students Should Compare These Schools
1. Match the degree to your experience and career goal
Compare an MBA, a general management master’s and a specialist MSc using their actual entry requirements and curriculum. If an MBA requires post-qualification work experience, check whether your experience meets its definition before applying. Internships are not automatically treated as equivalent to the required professional experience.
For a specialist course, inspect compulsory modules and prerequisites. A Business Analytics applicant should compare programming, statistics, databases, visualisation and business applications. A Finance applicant should review quantitative preparation and the exact subjects covered. Accreditation does not make programmes with different curricula interchangeable.
2. Check how your Indian qualification is assessed
Read the university’s India entry requirements alongside the course page. Record the accepted qualification, required grade, relevant subject background and English-language evidence. For a three-year bachelor’s, diploma-to-degree route or pending final result, obtain clarification where the published criteria do not address your case.
Do not assume that acceptance at one triple-accredited school establishes eligibility at another. Each programme makes its own admission decision.
3. Compare placements using written terms
If a course advertises a placement or internship option, ask whether it is compulsory or optional, how students secure an employer, whether payment is confirmed and whether an additional tuition fee applies. Check what happens if no placement is obtained.
Separate a live business project from an internship and a careers event from a job offer. Each can support learning, but they are different opportunities.
4. Calculate the complete cost
Compare international tuition after a confirmed scholarship, accommodation for the actual contract period, transport and immigration-related charges. Record the deposit deadline and refund conditions before paying.
A larger scholarship does not necessarily produce a lower cost. In an illustrative comparison, £28,000 tuition with a £5,000 award leaves £23,000, while £22,000 tuition without an award is still £1,000 lower. Replace these example amounts with the written fee and award details for your programme.
5. Check the study format and campus
Confirm whether the course is full-time on campus, part-time, online or delivered through another location. Accreditation alone does not determine whether a course meets your relocation plans.
For instance, The Open University Business School describes its distance-learning approach. Its Triple Crown status is valid, but students seeking a campus-based UK experience should assess delivery format separately.
6. Investigate the career support you can actually use
Ask about support for your specific programme: individual careers appointments, interview preparation, employer projects, recruitment events and access after graduation. When reviewing employment statistics, check which cohort they describe and whether the figures cover all graduates or survey respondents.
Triple accreditation is evidence of assessed educational quality; it is not a promise of admission, a scholarship, a placement, a job or immigration permission.
How to Verify Triple Accreditation Yourself
Use the business school’s current accreditation page, then check the awarding organisations’ directories:
Search the institution in the AACSB accredited-school directory.
Find the business school in the AMBA accredited-school directory, checking the relevant programme scope.
Confirm it appears in the EQUIS accredited-school list.
Check the school name and campus against the course you intend to study.
An accreditor’s membership listing, an award from another organisation or EFMD programme accreditation should not be substituted for one of these three specific accreditations.
